K.B. Johnson Oil & Gas considers safety our number one priority. We work with the Propane Education & Research council to train our employees in the safe handling and transportation of propane. Propane has an excellent safety record, and it is in our interest to see that this excellent safety record continues into the future.
Propane is a liquid hydrocarbon that vaporizes into a colorless, odorless, highly flammable gas. In properly maintained and operated systems, propane is completely safe. However, it can be dangerous if an uncontrolled release of propane occurs. To help you detect an uncontrolled release or leak of propane, propane producers add an odorant (ethyl mercaptan). This odorant give propane an unpleasant smell like rotten eggs, a skunk’s spray or a spoiled meat.
When we install a propane storage tank on your property, we will go the extra mile to ensure that everything is ready for you to begin using propane at your home or business. And you can always depend on us to adhere to the strictest safety standards when making your propane deliveries.
